Want to Order Prescriptions Online? Opt For Pharmacy Outlet

pharmacyoutlet.co.uk
Undoubtedly, healthcare in the UK has made great progress these days. Before the inception of the electronic prescription service by the NHS, there were fewer options for patients with a history of cardiac disease, diabetes, depression, high cholesterol, and other long-standing diseases. However, things have changed now, especially with the introduction of the NHS Electronic Prescription Service.

There are numerous options and effective means to fulfil our medicinal needs, which are useful in improving the survival rate and increasing the life expectancy.

It is a fact that regular treatment is necessary to keep chronic illnesses under control; this could even help prevent further complications and improve the quality of life. So, if you are undergoing regular treatment with prescription medicines, the electronic prescription service is the best service for you. Ordering and managing prescriptions online will help you to treat the condition efficiently.

What should I need to do?
You can request your GP practice to issue you an online prescription and ask your pharmacist to collect it through the internet for dispensing the medicines. You can order prescriptions online by nominating a registered chemist such as Pharmacy Outlet that offers you the electronic prescription service. Once the pharmacist collects your prescription from your GP practice through the internet, he/she will be able to dispense your medicine and provide you free delivery.

Make sure you discuss with your GP practice or a pharmacist to understand how the online prescription service works and how to use it to the best advantage.

Once you nominate Pharmacy Outlet, you can order prescriptions online at any point of time and from anywhere in the England. With this, you can save time, effort and money.

In addition, you can easily check what type of medicine you should be using and when. You can even ask your GP practice to take off a specific medicine from your prescription if you no longer use it.

It becomes simple for your GP practice to deal with your repeat prescription online rather than a paper prescription that takes more time to process.

Request Your GP to Send Prescriptions Electronically

With so many new technologies and innovations, it has now become possible for your GP to send prescriptions electronically to the chemist you prefer. And this is possible due to the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).
The NHS Electronic Prescription Service allows your GP practice to send prescriptions electronically, so there is no need of using a paper prescription. This cuts down the number of visits you pay to your GP’s office just to collect a paper script when you need a repeat prescription to get your medicine.
To allow your GP to send prescription electronically, you must nominate a pharmacy first. The electronic prescription service can be used for repeat prescription as well as single prescription. The pharmacy you nominate will collect your electronic prescription on the behalf of you from your GP.
In the UK, many GPs and pharmacies offer the NHS Electronic Prescription Service. Your prescriptions will be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy if your GP also offers the service. Your prescribing GP will explain you when to use this service.
Although the service means there is no need to visit your GP to collect a paper prescription when you need your repeat medicine, you must check with your doctor for medical assessment, when required.
How to nominate a pharmacy? Typically, there are two ways of nominating a pharmacy:
  1. Request your GP to record nomination on behalf of you
  2. Nominate an online pharmacy by creating an account directly on the website or in perso
Your GP can send prescriptions electronically for single prescription as well. You will be able to continue re-ordering your regular medicine from an online chemist such as Pharmacy Outlet to fulfil your repeat prescription. What’s more, you get your medicine right at your doorstep, without any extra cost.
The NHS Electronic Prescription Service is safe, reliable and confidential. Only your GP and your pharmacist can see your prescription to dispense and deliver your medicine.

Let Your Prescribing GP Send Prescriptions Electronically

With today’s advanced technologies and innovations, it is possible for your prescribing GP to send prescriptions electronically to your favourite pharmacy without you needing to go to your GP or pharmacy. And that is possible with the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).
The EPS allows your GP practice to send your prescriptions electronically to the pharmacy you nominate without the need for paper. There is no need for a patient with repeat prescriptions to visit their GP just to collect a paper script.
How does EPS work?
If you want your GP to send prescriptions electronically, it is important that you nominate a pharmacy. You can use EPS for both the repeat prescription and the one-off medicine. Nomination works as same as the prescription collection service. The pharmacy will collect your prescription on behalf of you to dispense and deliver your medication. The dissimilarity here is that your prescription will be sent online from your GP to the pharmacy.
When can I start using the EPS?
Many GPs and pharmacies offer the Electronic Prescription Service. Your prescriptions will not be sent online until your GP offers the service. Your GP will be able to explain you when this will happen and look for the EPS sign.
Using EPS means I will see my GP less often?
No, the service means that there is no need to calling or visiting your GP just to collect a prescription each time you need a repeat prescription.
Nominate a pharmacy or a dispensing GP practice to get started with the Electronic Prescription Service. Typically, there are two ways to nominate a pharmacy:
  • You can ask your doctor to record a nomination on behalf of you
  • You can directly nominate a website that offers online pharmacy service and the electronic prescription service.
Your GP can send prescriptions electronically for both single prescription and repeat prescriptions. For repeat prescriptions, you might be able to continue re-ordering your repeat medication from internet pharmacy like Pharmacy Outlet. You will receive your medicine straight to your home or office with free delivery.
The Electronic Prescription Service is absolutely safe, reliable and confidential. Your GP and authorised pharmacist working with Pharmacy Outlet will be able to see your prescription.

Is Viagra Available On Repeat Prescription?

Brand Viagra is not available on NHS repeat prescription, but Sildenafil is available on the NHS in certain circumstances.
However, brand Viagra is available online through private prescription or on consultation with an online doctor service such as PharmaDoctor.
As Viagra is now easily available, having a prescription is mandatory. You need to see your GP to get a health check-up done before going ahead with the Viagra to make sure that your impotence problem is not caused by any underlying medical problem.
NHS Prescriptions and Private Prescriptions
There are two types of prescriptions, through which you can get Viagra – an NHS prescription and a private prescription.
To get an NHS prescription, you must see a GMC registered GP so that they can evaluate whether or not it is suitable and assess whether or not you are eligible for a Viagra prescription on the NHS. You will be able to get the repeat prescription online on the NHS, if you fall under any of these categories:
  • If you suffer from Erectile Dysfunction (ED) associated with certain conditions such as diabetes, prostate cancer, or Parkinson’s disease
  • If your ED is due to long-term depression and extreme stress
  • If you have been prescribed ED medicine on the NHS before 14th September 1998
If you do not fall under these categories, you will then have to see a local GP for a private prescription. Remember that the NHS does not provide fund for a private prescription. Hence, you will have to pay the full amount for the medicine and charges of the pharmacy that supplies it.
Any GP can prescribe a private prescription for Viagra. However, a GP can only offer you a private prescription if the medicine is not available to you through the NHS.
Pharmacy Outlet is an online pharmacy that supplies Viagra on providing a private prescription. It offers free delivery to UK citizens on order above £40.

Worm Therapy For Allergies? Is it Effective?

Would you like to swallow a glassful of worm to get rid of your allergies? Sounds weird, right? Controversial treatment like “Worm Therapy” can help beat skin allergies and food intolerances.
Worm therapy has not been clinically proven yet, but it is found to be effective against allergies. The therapy involves drinking a glassful of worm eggs or applying live larvae on the rashes caused by allergy. The theory states that the worms enter your gut and mature there to release chemicals that can stop allergic reactions by suppressing immune system.
Here is a story of Graham from Southampton, who is using worm therapy to get rid of his severe eczema. Graham had a history of severe food intolerance to cereals, yeast, certain veggies and fruits, nuts and dairy products since his childhood. His allergic reaction was severe and he used to experience swelling of throat and eczema. He tried to avoid all those substances that triggered his allergic reaction.
Somehow, he saw an article that mentioned about worm therapy for allergies. He used this therapy for three months and experienced remarkable improvement in his symptoms. Moreover, he stopped reacting to the foods he was allergic to.
The idea of colonising worms inside your body may sound weird, but for thousands of people, it can be an effective way of treating various types of allergies. Experts in UK explain that worm therapy can help treat conditions such as eczema, inflammatory bowel syndrome and even multiple sclerosis.
There is an evidence to support the theory of worm therapy. T-cells are immune cells that recognise and combat foreign bodies in the body, inducing immune disorders. Worms in the gut activate other immune cells, shutting down the response of T-cells. Lack of good bacteria unbalances your immune system and makes your body vulnerable to diseases.
Worm therapy is not a risk-free treatment. Some studies have found that people with long-term therapy experienced severe gastrointestinal discomfort.
Meanwhile, you can rely on allergy medicines such as antihistamines or steroids. Antihistamines work by stopping the allergic reaction, while steroids bring down the inflammation caused by allergic reaction. It is better to seek medical help before choosing any treatment for allergies.

The Importance Of Vitamin D Supplement

HealthAid Vitamin D 500iu 60 Tablets

Experts often recommend everyone to consider vitamin D supplements.

The new guidelines about vitamin D supplement dosage from public health department of England say that adults and children (above 1 year) should get 10 mcg (micrograms) of vitamin D daily. This means that people can consider taking a vitamin D supplement.

While it is essential to eat foods that are rich in vitamin D, experts advise people to consider vitamin D supplements because it is a bit difficult to meet the requirements through food alone.

Approximately, one in five people has low vitamin D levels. There are numerous people who are at the risk of developing vitamin D deficiency.

Vitamin D is a micronutrient that helps control the amount of phosphate and calcium in the body, which are required for healthy bones, muscles and teeth. You will find vitamin D naturally in foods such as red meat, liver, egg yolks and oily fish. It is also found in fat spreads and cereals.

However, it is difficult to get the daily requirement of vitamin D from food alone. You receive good amount of vitamin D just from the action of sunrays on your skin.

People who spend more time indoors and do not let their skin exposed to the sun are at the risk of developing vitamin D deficiency. Such people should consider taking a supplement all year round. As a part of precautionary measure, all babies between the age group of one and four years should get at least 8.5 to 10mcg vitamin D supplement dosage.

Experts recommend that babies should be exclusively breastfed until six months of age. You should not give any supplement to babies under six years of age.

The public health department has issued new guidelines on vitamin D supplement dosage to ensure that people have satisfactory vitamin D level in order to prevent musculoskeletal issues.

There are possible links between low vitamin D level and non-musculoskeletal issues, including cardiovascular disease, multiple sclerosis and even cancer.

Most of us can get enough amount of vitamin D through sunlight on our skin and with a healthy, balanced diet. However, experts recommend minimal sunlight exposure.

As it is difficult to get enough amount of vitamin D from food alone, taking a supplement can help meet the daily vitamin D dosage, preventing certain health issues.

Vitamin D supplements are broadly available through local or online pharmacies and supermarkets.

Pharmacy Outlet, one of the UK’s online pharmacies, deals in vitamin D supplements such as HealthAid Vitamin D Tablets that can help meet your daily requirement.

Beconase Is A Widely Used Hayfever Nasal Spray

Beconase Hayfever Relief For Adults Nasal Spray 100 Sprays

Beconase Hayfever is one of the most effective medications for the treatment and prevention of hayfever and other airborne allergies such as pet dander and dust. Unlike pills, Beconase Hayfever acts right where the trouble starts i.e. the nose.

Beconase Hayfever Nasal Spray has an anti-inflammatory property that instantly provides relief from allergy symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, nasal discharge, itchy nose and watery eyes. It may take up to two or three days for this hayfever nasal spray to exhibit its protective effect.

Beclomethasone Dipropionate is the active component of this medicine that helps prevent and control allergy symptoms. The medicine belongs to a group of drugs called corticosteroids. It is known to act directly into the respiratory system by reducing the swelling and irritation of the airways.

The exact mechanism responsible for the anti-inflammatory action of Beconase Hayfever Nasal Spray is idiopathic. And the precise pharmacological action of the medicine on the nose is also idiopathic. It brings down the inflammation and irritation of the nose caused by the invasion of allergens such as pollen, dust, moulds, etc.

This non-drowsy nasal spray is prescribed only to those who are above 16 years of age. It is imperative to read the patient information leaflet carefully before use. The usual dosage of Beconase Hayfever Nasal Spray is two sprays into each nostril, morning and evening. Make sure you use it regularly as prescribed by your GP. Do not exceed the dose by eight sprays in a day.

Keep this hayfever nasal spray away from children. Beconase Hayfever Nasal Spray usually does not interact with your other medications and does not produce drowsiness like other allergy medications. Seek medical help before using this nasal spray for hayfever during pregnancy.

If your symptoms do not improve even after using it for 14 days, consult your GP. Do not use this allergy nasal spray for more than three months without consulting your GP. You should store Beconase Hayfever Nasal Spray bottle in a cool, dry place.

It is always safe to use steroid-based nasal sprays after talking to your GP. Once consulted, you can buy Beconase Hayfever Nasal Spray via Pharmacy Outlet, a UK’s registered online pharmacy.

Millions Suffer Due To Misuse of Hay Fever Medication

Hay Fever Medication

Millions of people are unnecessarily suffering due to misuse of hay fever medication, according to Allergy UK.

It is estimated that more than 18 million people suffer from hay fever, also called allergy rhinitis, in the UK.

Surprisingly, researchers have found that for nearly 62% of people with allergic rhinitis, hay fever medication is not effective. Only 4% say that their hay fever medication makes them feel good, while for majority of them, medicine makes their hay fever just bearable.

Experts in UK are asking people to urgently get their hay fever medications reviewed.

A recent study pinpoints to the misuse of hay fever medication as one of the major causes of suffering. Over 39% hay fever victims use steroidal nasal spray, but it is found that only 14% of them are actually using it appropriately. This means for over 85% people with hay fever, nasal sprays will not work aptly.

The experts of Allergy UK say that the research has shown how dependant sufferers are on hay fever medication for years together, but unfortunately for most people, it is not working, or being used inappropriately.

This Allergy Awareness Week, Pharmacy Outlet is urging people to check whether they are using hay fever medication correctly rather than prolonging their suffering. If your symptoms do not subside even after treatment, it is imperative to see your GP to control this distressing condition.

About 85% of people using antihistamine drugs do so on a daily basis, while 62% use steroid nasal sprays every day, which is incorrect. Overuse of nasal sprays can worsen your condition. So, Pharmacy Outlet is urging people to seek advice from their GP or pharmacist about reviewing their use of medicine.

Allergy Awareness Week runs from 24th April to 1st May. Pharmacy Outlet encourages everyone to get involved, show their support and raise awareness.

Pharmacy Outlet is a UK’s registered online pharmacy that deals in a wide range of allergy medicines. It always advises people to seek medical help before using any hay fever medication.

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an amazing online service for patients, GPs and pharmacist. If you get regular prescriptions from your GP, the EPS will be able to save your time by cutting down the unnecessary trips to your GP.

The NHS Electronic Prescription Service makes it possible for your regular prescriptions to be sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice.

Choosing a chemist to process your electronic prescription service is known as nomination. You need not have to collect a paper prescription from your doctor; instead you go straight to your nominated chemist to receive your medicines. And if you nominate an online chemist like Pharmacy Outlet, you do not require going to a pharmacy; you will receive your medicines at your doorstep for free.

Since your pharmacist has already got the prescription through internet, they will be able to prepare your medications and dispense it without any extra waiting.

You can order or cancel repeat prescriptions online if your GP offers an online medical service.

Experts opine that EPS will become a default option for prescribing and dispensing of prescription in England. You can use EPS as long as both your doctor and pharmacy offer the service.

If you are unhappy with the experience of the nomination, you can talk to the pharmacy or GP.

Allergy Awareness Week

Allergy Awareness Week is observed annually by Allergy UK to draw attention and raise awareness about the common issues faced by allergy victims.

During the week, the representatives of Allergy UK run various events and raise awareness of the things people are affected by different types of allergies.
  • One in four Brits suffer from allergies induced by common factors such as pollen, dust, moulds, pet dander and pollutants
  • People are six times more likely to use an over-the-counter medicines than finding a home remedy
  • Nearly 26% of people with allergies do not know how to stay away from allergens in the home
  • Approximately 15% confess that they do not clean or change their bedsheets adhered with dust for more than three months, which is the potential cause of allergy

Spring has finally arrived and that means allergy season has kicked off. Pollen is one of the most common factors responsible for causing allergy during spring.

One in ten people take precautionary measures to reduce the levels of certain allergens in their home, which include washing clothes regularly, using air filters or humidifiers, etc.

Many people woke up with itching or skin rashes that they could not explain the exact cause, while some thought that clothing, towel or bed linen made them have those rashes. Here, dust or dust mites could be the reason behind allergy.

Avoiding allergen is probably the best way to prevent any kind of allergy. You can reduce spending time outdoors when the pollen count is relatively high. Use special anti-allergy appliances that help you combat allergens such as pet dander, dust mites, mould and pollen.

Additionally, you can use Haymax Hayfever Organic Drug-free Balm to prevent the pollen from entering your nasal passages. Make sure you wash your clothes, bed linen, bedsheets and pillows on a regular basis to keep them away from dust mites.

This Allergy Awareness Week, Pharmacy Outlet encourages people to take preventive measures in order to stay away from allergy.

The Importance of St George’s Day in England

St George’s Day is the England’s national day that falls on April 23.

The day commemorates St George – a dragon-slaying saint of England.

One of the Christian martyrs. St George represents traditional English bravery and chivalry.

Even though he wasn’t English, we have made him the symbol of our nation. His emblem is a red cross on a white background. It is England’s flag that forms part of the Union flag i.e. the flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.

According to legends, St George saved a princess by slaying a dragon when he was in the Roman army as a soldier.

How does England celebrate this day?

St George’s Day was declared as a national holiday in the year 1415. It grew become popular until the 18th century when celebrations declined after England merged with Scotland in 1707. Fervent England fans commemorate the day by conducting parades, dancing and waving flags. Many people wear a rose, England’s national flower.

Know about St George

He was apparently born in Cappadocia, which is now called Turkey. As a soldier, he rose through the ranks of the Roman army. However, later, he protested against ethnic emperor’s prosecution of Christians and then he was imprisoned, tortured, dragged onto the streets and beheaded on April 23, 303 in Palestine. He is buried in Israel.

St George’s cross emblem was adopted by the king Richard and brought to England in the 12th century. The soldiers wore it on their uniform during the battle to prevent confusion.

St George Day is also celebrated in places such as Germany, Portugal, Romania, Greece, Istanbul and Ethiopia.

In Great Britain, St George has also inspired medals for bravery. The medal depicts the patron saint slaying the dragon on top of his horse. The St George’s flag is always present in English cricket, football and rugby matches and waved by patriotic supporters.
